OBLIGITORY NARRATIVE BIO
I was born. By age 4, I was playing air guitar to Beatles, Simon & Garfunkel and Herb Alpert records. At 5, I started playing drums and piano. I got a snare drum for Christmas and made my recording debut: "The Little Drummer Boy." It was a live version, direct to cassette. My second grade teacher was a hippie chick so I learned enough chords (two and a half) to pick up a guitar and strum folk songs with her. This dalliance in the Magic Garden notwithstanding, I pretty much stuck to drums, played several hundred gigs with several hundred bands, went to music school, studied drums, decided I didn't like drum lessons and pretty much didn't stick with drums. For the second half of my life (half so far, that is, I hope) I taught myself how to really fake it on guitar, wrote several hundred songs, played in a band, recorded a few records (yes, I call them that), toured the world, took some time off while my musical partner destroyed himself, got back to work after he escaped from the world's most famous mental institution and then we produced an off-Broadway play about said experience. As a side note, from 1970-1980, I spent a majority of my evenings with a pair of headphones listening to nothing except Beatles records. By 1980, I theorized there may be other music worth listening to. I later learned I was only partially right. In my infinite spare time, I run a recording studio and design really expensive audio/video facilities. In between all that I do some personal stuff but I won't mention those here cuz those bits are personal.

ps - it has more than once been recommended that I have my tongue surgically removed from my cheek. The doctors, however, doubt such a proceedure would be successful and advise it would likely grow back...
